Nicole Hynek

Founder & Creative Director

Nicole began her career as a freelance photographer in 2005, learning the ropes of press desk, PR and magazine photography. She quickly developed her knowledge of post-production and studio techniques, later adding copywriting, copy setting and graphic design to her portfolio. Her creative style is fundamentally form and function based with an edgy finish.

As she began marketing her services, Nicole’s thirst for knowledge and determination to develop herself led her to explore her own style of artwork; illustration, graphic design and website design.

During her career development, she discovered the harmony of programming and artwork in motion graphic production – a service Hynek Associates continue to deliver.

Alongside her industry experience Nicole earned her MSc in Business Psychology in 2018, and a PG Cert in Research Methods in 2021. She is currently working on her PhD in Organisational Psychology.

“Creation and innovation are a potent pairing.”

My Story

Creation and innovation are a potent pairing, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have been encouraged to pursue those aspects of myself throughout my life.

As the daughter of a Czech father and British mother, the emphasis on language, culture and different ways of thinking has been a powerful influence in my life.

Growing up, I spent a lot of time in my parents’  TV and Video shop, watching my father make sales and demonstrating top of the line equipment. He was a brilliant salesman, engineer and a keen photographer.

He would fly Cessnas and gliders at the weekends, and I would go with him to the airfield and hold his camera while he flew. I was too young to take pictures at that point, but I couldn’t wait until I was old enough to start learning how to use the camera and lenses.

My relationship with photography only deepened as I got older. I wasn’t able to meet my Czech family until I was much older due to the political divide at the time, so I got to know them through pictures.

I remember trying to experience everything about those people through those images until the time we could meet in person. Through that experience, I learned the power and impact of capturing moments for a lifetime.

However we choose to communicate, whether it is through words or pictures, we have a powerful platform to affect the people around us. This understanding and ethic is infused throughout all we do at Hynek Associates.

I am incredibly proud to be helping people communicate their messages to the world with an exceptional team of colleagues.

Keeley Newman-Goodall

Campaign Director

Keeley began working in Digital Marketing 6 years ago, working initially in blog writing and social media before branching out into email marketing campaigns and SEO. She has worked alongside clients from a number of different industries and over the years has gained a wealth of knowledge in digital marketing.

With copywriting well underway Keeley took the time out to develop more knowledge and understanding of graphic design for social media and further enhanced her SEO knowledge.

As her work started to expand further she looked for ways in which she could work with businesses to help provide digital marketing support and training to their employees where it was needed.

“As a child I could always be found with a book in my hand…”

My Story

Words are one of my biggest passions and I am incredibly lucky that I get to work with them in creative ways every day. As a child I could always be found with a book in my hand or hidden in my bag on a day out.

For me the lure of the worlds that they held between their pages was what kept them close to me at all times. Growing up I was lucky to have parents who also had a love for literature. Our house was full of bookcases all packed to the brim with everything from ‘Great Expectations’ through to ‘Lord of the Rings’.  Of an evening my Dad would read to me as we sat on the sofa and I would be catapulted into whatever world could be found in the story.

Words have such a profound effect on us as human beings and the stories that we are told become a part of our cultural heritage and we pass them on to others.

The loving words of someone you love can pick you up when you are feeling down, the encourage words of a teacher can build your confidence and unfortunately the taunting words of a bully can stick with you for years to come.

It is this power of words that I love to play around with, to use positively in marketing and in life in general. Sadly I never got to meet either of my grandfathers, they both died long before I was born, but I learnt about them from the stories my family would tell me. So much so that I built a picture up of them in my mind and feel connected to them in ways I could never have imagined.

Communication is incredibly powerful, however you use it and using it in creative ways can help to get your business noticed and I love working alongside my incredibly talented colleagues at Hynek Asociates to deliver this for our clients.
